Hi Cecily: Just wanted to ensure you noticed I've added pages so users can write reviews of movies. There's a link on the Gateway, top middle of the page under the "My Links" heading. Hope you can contribute some reviews. Thanks...Jim.
Hi Cecily: Squashed the little bug on links on the Community page. Thanks for letting me know about it. Change of subject: Netflix released their API about 6 weeks ago. I had a brief peek at it; doesn't look too hard to use. Wondering if you have any suggestions of ways to integrate their data with Take11? It appears we could even set up an interface so Take11 users could get access to their Netflix user accounts thru Take11, if users wanted. Thanks for your help and interest. jmh

Cecily: I've created a generic Take11-user account at UserVoice, so users can comment there, etc., without having their own accounts. I've posted the user name and password on the blog...That may be too public a place, we'll see.
Hi Cecily: I think I understand the problem with editing Comments. I could only make a problem when the length of a comment exceeded the maximum allowed. Currently, the maximum is set to 255 characters, including spaces and punctuation. When the comment was too long, the page was not responding when I clicked the Save button. I hope this is the bug you found. I've fixed this. Also, if the software finds a problem on a submitted Edit page, it should echo back the page and cite the problem up near the top. I've added to that echo a print out of the characters that exceed the maximum limit. Btw, I think your use of the Comment field is exactly what I had in mind. Anything much longer becomes a review, and reviews should appear elsewhere on the site. Let me know if this solves your problem. If another 10 or 15 characters in the comment field would simplify your life, let me know that too, and I'll bump the maximum a little. Hope this helps.
Hi Cecily: Thanks for the comment about ! in searching at Amazon. There are two issues. (1) The response "Found -1 results" is hacker shorthand for a null result; i.e., the keyword(s) did not match anything in the Amazon database. I've changed the wording in the response, so hopefully it is now clear that there were no results. (2) Why no result for "Charro!"? This is an artifact of the way info is stored in the Amazon db; obviously we have no control over that. I get the same null result on searching for "Hatari!" However, we do gets results on searching for "Charro" and "Hatari" -- so we'll just have to omit the punctuation in Amazon searches, and add it in correctly on the Edit page. The Take11 search engine should distinguish between Charro and Charro!, so to get all records, use Charro* when searching our database. Hope this helps. More later. (jmh)
